Mixed Martial Arts

An MMA walking around the octagonal ring

Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) is an approach to fighting that incorporates aspects of all the existing martial arts, and is inclusive to all genders, ages, and levels of experience. We welcome enquiries from those with a disability regarding the accessibility of MMA.

Our Club: Oxford University Mixed Martial Arts

OUMMAC is the newest, and one of the fastest-growing Clubs at the University. As a member, you will receive world-class coaching from instructors with decades of experience, both in teaching and competing around the globe, and access to regular social events. We offer a range of classes across the spectrum of Mixed Martial Arts, including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Muay Thai, and Wrestling, allowing you to develop a well-rounded skillset that is proven to best ensure your safety in a self-defense situation. There are numerous opportunities to compete whilst representing the Club, across various disciplines; most prominently in the annual Varsity MMA Fight Night. Welfare, health and safety are our paramount concern, however, and you will never be forced to train or compete at a level, or socialise in an environment, that you are uncomfortable with: training is what you make of it.

Through Mixed Martial Arts, we aim to encourage a society that promotes physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing through interaction and active communication.
