Karate is a martial art that seeks to develop both mental and physical acuteness performing defensive and counterattacking moves. Karate is inclusive to all genders and levels of experience, and we welcome enquiries from those with a disability regarding the accessibility of Karate.

 

Our Club | Oxford University Karate Club

Oxford University Karate Club is a member of the JKA and practices traditional Shotokan karate. Our club comprises of Oxford University students, staff and members of the local community. We offer our members opportunities to compete in a Varsity Match, BUCS and other tournaments, and the possibility of being awarded a Full Blue. Gradings are held at the end of each term.
