Hockey Website Banner

Hockey is a fast paced stick and ball sport. It's one of the biggest and most successful sports at Oxford. Hockey is inclusive to all genders and levels of experience, and we welcome enquiries from those with a disability regarding the accessibility of Hockey. There are plenty of opportunities to play competitively and socially.

Our Club | Oxford University Hockey Club

Oxford University Hockey Club has 4 men’s teams, 4 women’s teams, 2 summer mixed teams and an academy for promising college players. Teams play in BUCS on a Wednesday and in adult leagues on a Saturday, with our Men's Blues playing in BUCS Prem and our Women's Blues playing in Conference West. The club welcomes all abilities and training sessions are run accordingly, with teams training twice a week. The club is very close knit with an excellent social scene across all 8 teams, and enjoys top class coaching, from both external and student coaches. All teams play against Cambridge in the annual varsity matches every year and more details about this can be found on our website below. We look forward to hearing from you.

Inter-College | League & Cuppers

There are a number of college hockey leagues for men and women throughout Michaelmas and Hilary terms. Mixed Cuppers, a knockout tournament, then runs in Trinity term. Teams must have a minimum of 4 girls on the pitch at any one time, and it is a great way to continue playing some hockey after the official season has finished. It's open to players of all abilities, from any college. To get involved, talk to your college sport rep or a member of OUHC.
