There are different gymnastics disciplines, the most well-known being Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Acrobatic Gymnastics and Tumbling. All of these can be trained at Oxford University Gymnastics Club, although the Club’s predominant focus is Artistic Gymnastics. Gymnastics is inclusive to all genders and levels of experience, and we welcome enquiries from those with a disability regarding the accessibility of Gymnastics.
Our Club | Oxford University Gymnastics Club
Oxford University Gymnastics Club trains regularly and we welcome all abilities and disciplines. All sessions are supervised by qualified coaches and it is a great way to keep fit in a fun and friendly environment. There are also opportunities to compete in Artistic gymnastics at all levels, as well as Tumbling, Acro and Rhythmic gymnastics upon request.
We have sessions at Iffley Road Sports Centre and at Abingdon Gymnastics Club where full apparatus training takes place with the full range of men’s and women’s artistic apparatuses as well as a tumble track, fast track, conditioning aids and foam pits to help you learn new skills. We would love to see you at a session soon!

Inter-College | Cuppers
Every Michaelmas term we hold a Cuppers match where athletes can compete and win points for their college – the college with the most points at the end of the competition becomes Cuppers champion (lots of kudos + yes, you do get a cup).
It’s really fun and informal, with both beginners and experienced categories, so encourage all your friends to come and join in – you get points just for taking part! Both men and women can compete on Floor and Vault: there are no set routines and you can choose any eight elements to showcase on floor.
To get invovled, talk to a member of the club or your college sports rep.
