Orienteering

Orienteering is, simply speaking, getting between a series of points marked on a map as quickly as you can, with only the aid of a compass and your own navigational skills. During the week we train by going running and doing core strength exercises, and we usually travel to a competition on Sundays. The orienteering club is small and friendly, and both training sessions and competitions cater from complete beginners to those representing Great Britain. Feel free to come and try it, whether or not you think you can read a map – beginners always say they’ve had fun!
