4. Risk Assessments
Every Sports club must have Risk Assessment. This involves a careful examination of what could cause harm to the members (or property, equipment etc) during club activities.
Many hazards are unavoidable, but it is important that as a club you take satisfactory precautions that the risk of harm is small.
5 Steps to Risk Assessment:
- Identify the hazards
- Decide who may be harmed and how
- Evaluate the risks and decide on precautions
- Record your findings and implement them
- Review your assessment and update if necessary
Full guidelines are available to download. These will take you step-by-step through the process.
A Risk Assessment template is also available.
