Laura studied Chemistry at Lady Margaret Hall from 2013-2017. Throughout her degree she was an active member of the Athletics, Cross Country, Cycling, Swimming and Triathlon Clubs. Amongst numerous Varsity and BUCS appearances for all of these clubs, the highlights of her Oxford sporting career include individual victory at the 2016 Varsity Triathlon and a BUCS team medal.
Over her four years as a student Laura has taken on various club committee roles, been a JCR Sports Officer, and completed a triathlon coaching qualification. In 2017 as an athlete, club president and coach for OUTriC she led the club to unprecedented Varsity success, which included Oxford securing the first ever whitewash across all tiers and fielding the largest women’s team in the history of the match.
With a combined love of all things admin and sport, Laura is dedicated to supporting all 83 of the Sports Federation’s clubs over the coming year. She is a strong believer in the positive influence sport can have on all aspects of life, and is keen to raise the profile of sport in Oxford both for elite athletes and at a recreational level.
