England Students face Wales Students on 7 March, kicking off at 19:30 at Oxford University, Iffley Road.

England will be looking for a return in winning ways after losing to France Universities following a strong victory over Portugal, who are ranked 22nd in the world.

Their first game, away to Portugal, saw a tough first outing for the students. The English side performed well, running in four tries to win 16 – 30.

England then faced a trip to Paris to take on a strong France Universities side. The French attacked strongly throughout and tested the English defence; and despite succumbing to a 39 – 10 loss, England still showed lots of promise. Captain George Messum (Loughborough University) said after the game; “I couldn’t fault the effort, but fair play to France who played a really good offloading game.”

England will be looking to make the most of their first fixture on home soil in what is the last fully-capped game if the series before taking on Scotland in a development game.

Kick-off is at 19:30 at Oxford University and the England Students will greatly all the support you can offer!
