Fundamental Support – Details
Subsidised Injury Treatment
Injury treatment is subsidised for athletes registered on the scheme and is delivered through The Bodymaster Clinic, based at Iffley Road Sports Centre. Initial consultations are £23 and follow up appointments are £20. To be eligible for the subsidy you must book an appoint via The Bodymaster Clinic, collect a token from Iffley Road Sports Centre reception (proving you are registered on the scheme) before your appointment and present it to the member of staff at the clinic. For athletes not registered on the scheme, the clinic also offer a discount to all Oxford University students. For all services, the full price list or to book an appointment click here.
Weekly classes in Pilates (Tuesday 08:00-09:00) and Yoga (Friday 08:00-09:00) are available, 0th Week to 9th Week of each term, to all athletes registered on the scheme. To book onto a class sign up at reception in Iffley Road Sports Centre or by calling 01865 611476. Classes are only bookable up to 7 days in advance.
Psychology and Nutrition Sessions
Psychology and nutrition sessions are available, fully funded, as part of the Performance Teams programme and the Performance Athletes programme. In addition, student athletes who wish to book individual sessions can do so at a reduced cost of £50 per session. How do I book injury treatment?
All injury treatment is subsidised by the scheme but delivered by the Bodymaster Clinic at Iffley Road Sports Centre. Book your treatment online here and make sure to collect your discount token from sports centre reception before attending your treatment. We also advise that you share the outcome of any treatment, including rehab exercises, with both your strength and conditioning coach and your club coach.
How do I book a nutrition or psychology session?
For funded team support, your captain will be contacted by one of our specialists to arrange team sessions. For funded individual support, you will be contacted by our team to arrange your 1:1 sessions. Additional private sessions are also available to book (for both Nutrition and Psychology) for any registered athlete at a cost of £50 per session. To arrange a private session please contact one of our specialists directly using the meet the team section.
How can I register for a class?
Once you are registered as an athlete, choose from the fundamental support – weekly classes above, then sign up at reception in Iffley Road Sports Centre or by calling 01865 611476. Classes are only bookable up to 7 days in advance.
How do I sign up for the team programme?
Teams are selected annually based on an expression of interest in Trinity term. Find out more on our Performance Teams page. If your team is interested in getting support next year then please visit our online club support documents for further information. Once a team is selected, squad members will be signed up by their captain or coach.
How do I sign up for the individual programme?
Individuals athletes are selected annually based on applications made between mid-August and mid-October. Find out more on our Individual Support page. Once selected you will be contacted via email to arrange your individual support.
