3rd Week BUCS Round Up

3rd Week BUCS Round Up

Posted on: October 31st, 2013

Our queen of BUCS fixtures Caroline Demetriou takes us through this week’s results…

“I think it is safe to say that we didn’t have our best  BUCS Wednesday for results this week, winning only 11 of a possible 35 fixtures.

The most notable of those wins though was the Men’s Hockey Blues, who beat Exeter for the first time in over 10 years.

The win maintains their unbeaten record in BUCS this year. The Hockey club as a whole achieved 9 points out of a possible 9 reinforcing Iffley Road’s reputation as the insurmountable #fortressiffley !

A massive well done also to:

  • Ladies Lacrosse Swifts who beat the Tabs 11-10
  • Ladies Football Blues with a 9-1 whipping of Worcester Ladies 2nds
  • Men’s Fencing 2nds with their convincing 122-109 win over UEA
  • Both Men’s Badminton teams for casually beating Kings and UEA 6-2 and 5-3 respectively

With predicted points we sit 12th place in BUCS nationally so I’m sure for the rest it was just a mid-term blip, and you will all be back to your winning ways next week..!”
