2nd Vision Varsity horse race

2nd Vision Varsity horse race

Posted on: September 30th, 2015

The second ever running of the Vision Varsity horse race will take part on Saturday the 10th of October on Dubai future champions day at Newmarket. The race is a 1 mile flat course and should be over in less than 1 minute 40 seconds but has nonetheless required a huge amount of training! The final teams for Oxford and Cambridge were announced just a couple of weeks ago and since training for both teams has stepped up even further – Oxford are training on racehorses 4 or more times a week with technical sessions with team coach John Reid and individual fitness sessions on top. The team from Oxford consists of Alice Stables (Captain, St Peter’s College), Kacper Pancewicz (Kellogg College), Alice Thomson (Lady Margaret Hall), Bruno Steinkraus ( St Edmund Hall) and Caroline LeClerc (St Catherine’s).  We’re all really excited about the race now and looking forward to shoeing some tabs!’
